WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Khaki Fever organised us the most exceptional honeymoon in Southern Africa. It was everything we had hoped for. We had excellent wildlife viewing, and enjoyed peace and quiet in the beautiful, luxurious lodges that Julie chose for us. Everything was just perfect.

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Our party of seven first-time visitors to South Africa was privileged to have the expert help of Julie from Khaki Fever Safaris to craft our first ever safari in Africa. Julie ensured we had a most memorable and enjoyable experience of the African bush which we could easily have missed out on – including full day Kruger safaris with a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, experienced guide. We saw many different species including the big 5 at close range in the most beautiful settings imaginable. Our lodge was superb with everything we could want, and with it’s own range of “plains game” which greeted us on arrival – a most wonderful introduction to our African stay. Our trip also included a Panorama Route Tour with the Magnificent Blyde River Canyon.  Many thanks Julie for organising a perfect trip in every way which totally exceeded our expectations!

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Julie and the team at Khaki Fever Safaris did the most fantastic job of organising a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me and my friends when we visited South Africa. Julie understood our brief completely, and provided a great selection of offerings, tailored to our group and was very prompt at getting back to us with any questions we had. The option we chose was absolutely perfect – beautiful accommodation in a tranquil setting surrounded by so many gorgeous animals, delicious meals, fantastic drivers and guides and wonderful day trips to Kruger National Park and surrounding areas. Right from the moment we arrived in South Africa, we felt so welcome – from a handwritten note and gorgeous stainless steel drink bottle gift from Julie and the team, to her checking in along the way to make sure we were having a wonderful time. Thanks so much again – we can’t wait to come back again one day!

South Africa | Zimbabwe | Botswana

South Africa, Zimbabwe, and Botswana are considered the top safari destinations in Southern Africa (and arguably on the continent), and there’s no wondering why. Each country offers an entirely unique and unforgettable safari experience that travellers can’t help coming back to again and again! This “Big 3 Bucket List” takes you to the three most iconic destinations in each of these countries, providing you with the safari adventure of a lifetime!

From the iconic Kruger National Park and its prolific wildlife, diverse habitats and traditional game drive safaris, to the exciting and fun-filled adventures of Victoria Falls, where adrenalin activities and canoeing up the mighty Zambezi River are highlights. The trip ends in the incredible Okavango Delta in Botswana, a truly unique safari destination where Big 5 sightings go hand-in-hand with peaceful mekoro (traditional dug-out canoe) rides along water-lilied channels and palm-fringed swamps. Here, luxury bush camps provide all you need to feel a world away from your busy every-day life!

This is simply an example itinerary that can be tweaked and changed to suit your needs. This is also why we don’t put prices on our itineraries – we specialize in tailor-making our trips for each individual client. If you like the sound of this itinerary, then send us a direct email enquiry, or fill out the detailed enquiry form below.

IN A NUTSHELL

DAY 6-9 – Victoria Falls

DAY 10-13 – Okavango Delta

DAY 14 – Maun International Airport, Depart.

THE DETAILS

14 days (including final travel day)

DAY 1-3: Greater Kruger National Park

Arrive in Hoedspruit – the gateway to the Greater Kruger National Park – and get a private transfer to your exquisite bush camp or lodge inside one of the private game reserves bordering Kruger. These private reserves offer a more intimate and luxurious safari experience, where animals and the Big 5 are more easily seen. Activities include game drives and bush walks, or simply look out for elephants and various antelope visiting your camp.

DAY 4-5: Kruger National Park

Your private transfer will take you into the famous Kruger National Park – one of the most biodiverse places on Earth! See the many different habitats and animals that make Kruger so exceptional. Stay two nights in this phenomenal park where your lodge or bush camp is completely immersed in nature, and offers the closest experience to “true wilderness” in South Africa. Activities include daily game drives and bush walks. Seeing leopards, rhinos and elephants are highlights in Kruger, as well as the many ancient indigenous trees, and a vast array of birdlife.

DAY 6-9: Victoria Falls

Your private transfer will take you back to Hoedspruit, where you will catch your flight to Victoria Falls (via Johannesburg). Check into your gorgeous bush camp or lodge set in the peaceful Victoria Falls wilderness. Over the next three days, choose which adventures fill your time!

Visit the magnificent Falls and beautiful surrounding forest with your private guide. Try out white-water rafting or bungee jumping; or take a microlight flight over the Falls – highly recommended! Go on a sunset cruise on the mighty Zambezi River. Have a break from the safari vehicle and stretch your legs (or arms) on a half or full-day canoe trip up the magnificent Zambezi River. Spot elephants drinking and swimming in the river; and see an array of phenomenal birdlife. This is a highlight! There is a lot to do in “Vic Falls”, and we will be able to help you best plan your time here, according to how busy or relaxed you want it to be.

DAY 10-13: Okavango Delta

Get a road transfer to Kasane town and catch your light-aircraft flight into your camp in the heart of the Okavango Delta. Choose to spend all four nights in a single camp where game drives, walking safaris and mekoro trails are on offer; or choose to spend two nights in a “wet” camp where water-based activities are the focus, then 2 nights in a “dry” camp, where game drives and Big 5 game-viewing are the focus.

The Okavango Delta is an exceptional destination for game viewing and mind-blowing beauty. From palm islands and lily-pad lagoons, to woodland forests and swampy plains, there is no place like it on Earth. Partake in the many activities on offer, or simply relax and unwind in this exceptionally peaceful oasis.

DAY 14 – Maun International Airport, Depart

Fly to Maun for your flight home, or extend your vacation to include more of Botswana, Zimbabwe, or South Africa!
