WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Our party of seven first-time visitors to South Africa was privileged to have the expert help of Julie from Khaki Fever Safaris to craft our first ever safari in Africa. Julie ensured we had a most memorable and enjoyable experience of the African bush which we could easily have missed out on – including full day Kruger safaris with a very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, experienced guide. We saw many different species including the big 5 at close range in the most beautiful settings imaginable. Our lodge was superb with everything we could want, and with it’s own range of “plains game” which greeted us on arrival – a most wonderful introduction to our African stay. Our trip also included a Panorama Route Tour with the Magnificent Blyde River Canyon.  Many thanks Julie for organising a perfect trip in every way which totally exceeded our expectations!

WHAT OUR CLIENTS SAY

Julie and the team at Khaki Fever Safaris did the most fantastic job of organising a once-in-a-lifetime experience for me and my friends when we visited South Africa. Julie understood our brief completely, and provided a great selection of offerings, tailored to our group and was very prompt at getting back to us with any questions we had. The option we chose was absolutely perfect – beautiful accommodation in a tranquil setting surrounded by so many gorgeous animals, delicious meals, fantastic drivers and guides and wonderful day trips to Kruger National Park and surrounding areas. Right from the moment we arrived in South Africa, we felt so welcome – from a handwritten note and gorgeous stainless steel drink bottle gift from Julie and the team, to her checking in along the way to make sure we were having a wonderful time. Thanks so much again – we can’t wait to come back again one day!

Khaki Fever organised us the most exceptional honeymoon in Southern Africa. It was everything we had hoped for. We had excellent wildlife viewing, and enjoyed peace and quiet in the beautiful, luxurious lodges that Julie chose for us. Everything was just perfect.

You may already know that the best destinations in Africa book up far in advance, but you’re not too late, you still have 6 months to plan & book your incredible Easter escape!

Whether it’s bush, beach – or a bit of both you’re after – April is a fantastic time of year to visit Southern or East Africa.

The hottest months are long-gone, the summer rains have subsided, the bush is still a vibrant green & prices are very often reduced!

Most importantly though, don’t waste all those holiday days sitting at home!

See our top Easter 2020 picks below…

“BIG 5” SAFARI

SABI SANDS GAME RESERVE, SOUTH AFRICA

Arguably South Africa’s most sought-after wildlife destination, this reserve has some of the country’s best rhino and leopard sightings! Seeing the “Big 5” is almost guaranteed, and it’s home to a host of world-class lodges that offer both game drives and walking safaris. The reserve has a fenceless border with the Kruger National Park, so animals roam freely too. Sabi Sands is perfect for a romantic getaway or for the whole family, and there are no long travel days – direct flights from Jo’burg get you straight into the Sabi Reserve!

FAMILY ROAD TRIP

SOSSUSVLEI & ETOSHA, NAMIBIA

The phenomenal scenery of Sossusvlei’s giant sand dunes and moon-like landscape, combined with the exceptional wildlife experience at Etosha (elephant, black rhino & lion sightings are excellent) means that this will be an unforgettable African adventure for the whole family. The desert’s cold winter nights have not yet set in, but the unbearable midday summer heat is on its way out. Namibia is safe to self-drive in & roads are excellent. This promises to be a rewarding experience in one of Africa’s most dramatic & spectacularly beautiful countries!

ISLAND PARADISE

BAZARUTO ARCHIPELAGO, MOZAMBIQUE

Scuba diving, snorkeling, lazy seafood lunches & warm turquoise waters – what more could you want from your Easter vacation?! If one of these islands is a step too far for your budget, then Mozambique’s mainland coast also offers some exceptional beach options! This coastline is a quick flight away from the Greater Kruger area, so a safari/beach combo is a must!
